The film is in the 2nd week of its run and the senior actor's grandfather role is being cited as a major reason for the film's success with all sections of the audience.

Now Rajkiran is all set to play another grandfather's role, this time to rising star Siva Karthikeyan in the upcoming Ponram movie. Samuthirakani will also be playing an interesting villain role in the movie, which would be the director's second after the superhit Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam.
