Tea stalls have become the spotlight these days both politically and also in the film industry. Anjala, an upcoming film that is said to deal with tea stalls, claims that these kiosks are the 1st wikipedia of the world.

The film written and directed by Thangam Saravanan has Vemal and Nanditha in the lead. Sources aver that 90% of the film is complete which was shot in and around Madurai and all that remains is just a little patch work which will be done in Chennai.

A promotional song about tea stalls around Tamil Nadu will be released soon. Ravi Kannan is the cinematographer for Anjala while Gopi Sunder is the music director.
