Many might not be aware of the fact that Akhil Iyer had signed two movies in Kollywood before taking up Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. He had given green signal to Anbu G directorial Iruvar Ondranal and Nijama Nizhala.
The young actor grew in Chennai before moving to Bangalore a few years ago. He honed his acting skills in theatre and did a couple of commercials before signing the Tamil movies, which are in post-production stages. Akhil Iyer will be seen in second fiddles in both the forthcoming flicks.
Iruvar Ondranal has been getting decent publicity. It is a romantic-comedy movie starring PR Prabhu and Krithika Malini in the main lead roles. Whereas, Nijama Nizhala is an off-beat thriller flick.
Even though, his officially signed first movie is Iruvar Ondranal, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil released first Nonetheless, it has become a dream debut for the budding star. He will be seen in the role named Mahesh in the Hindi movie, which has Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth in the lead roles.
