  • On Ravichandran's Birthday Remake of Drishyam going to Release

    Crazy Star Ravichandran was hailed by the critics and audience for his performance in Kiccha Sudeep's directorial venture Maanikya, which is the remake of Telugu hit Mirchi. The actor, who played father to Sudeep in the movie is now all set to the release of Kannada remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam.

    Ravichandran is paired opposite Malayalam beauty Navya Nair in the untitled movie, which is being directed by P Vasu. If sources are to be believed then the Kannada remake of Drishyam will be releasing on Ravichandran's birthday, May 30, 2014.

    Navya Nair, who made her Sandalwood debut with Challenging Star Darshan starrer Gaja is making her comeback with Drishyam remake. The original movie had Malayalam icon Mohanlal and South lass Meena in the lead role. It tracks the story of a father's efforts to cover up a murder committed by his family. The film has emerged as the biggest hit in Malayalam filmdom.

    Ravichandran will be stepping into Mohanalal's role and Navya Nair will be essaying Meena's role in the remake movie. Music maestro Ilayaraja is scoring the music for the film, which is also getting remade in Tamil and Telugu languages. Apart from Ravi and Navya, Drishyam remake also features Achyuth Kumar, Srinivas Murthy, Suchendra Prasad, Sadhu Kokila, Shivaji Prabhu and others in the significant roles.
