Rajini talks about his Thalapathi experiences with Mani Ratinam

The Superstar Rajini special interview which was telecast yesterday in a Tamil GEC, had the legend speak his mind on a few occasions.

Actor Vivek probed him on many topics and there were a few memorable comments from the Kochadaiiyaan star.

"I went through a tough time while shooting for Mani Ratnam's Thalapathi. He was from a different school of film making and asked me to feel emotions even when taking part in a fight scene.

I used to wonder "What's the big deal, it's just a fight after all". After the first 6 days, I told Mani to enact all the scenes so that I could just imitate him. He should be credited for whatever accolades I received for that film."
