Karthi gets the city all to himself

After Biriyani, Karthi is currently working on a project with Ranjith, director of Attakathi. Set on the North Chennai backdrop, the movie has been wrapped successfully and the post-production is in full flow.

It was earlier speculated that Kaali or Kabali would be the title of the movie. Later the team divulged that they were hunting for better titles.

Now, our sources say that the film has been titled Madras. Confirmation on this is expected through the first look posters, which are also likely to come out in a couple of weeks.

Catherine Tresa plays the female lead in the movie and Santosh Narayanan is composing for it. Studio Green is bankrolling the film.
