According to the buzz Kamal Haasan wanted his good friend Rajini to do a special appearance in the film and the latter has apparently given the nod.
Sources add that there is a video conferencing scene in the film in which Rajini will make an appearance. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
Uthama Villain features Kamal Haasan in dual roles - as an 8th century drama actor named Uthaman and a 21st century film star called Manoranjan. The film also has Vishwaroopam girls Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja Kumar in important roles. Parvathy Menon of Mariyaan fame will also appear in a pivotal role.
