According to reliable sources in Tollywood industry, ace lyricist Chandrabose is deeply upset with music director S.S Thaman over the songs of Allu Arjun's Race Gurram. Sources add, this is why Chandrabose skipped the audio launch of film held recently.
Chandrabose is reportedly unhappy over the changes in lyrics of his song Boochodu Boochodu.
A source on anonymity confided, "The usual practice in any film industry is when director or music director want corrections in songs, the original authors need to be informed. That's minimum respect, courtesy need to be given to writers. Contrary to it, Thaman, Surender Reddy didn't inform lyricists and made their own changes. This is a case study for the breach of creative freedom, self-respect."
We hear that this is not just the case with Chandrabose alone. Other lyricists, who penned songs for this film, too unhappy over the songs as music director S.S Thaman and director Surender Reddy themselves made corrections in lyrics and rewrote few paras in songs without the knowledge of songwriters. This certainly don't go well with lyricists. In fact, the lyrics of the Race Gurram songs drew flak from critics as lyrics not syncing with tunes. The album turned out to be a damp squib.
