Rajinikanth's forthcoming movie Kochadaiiyaan has got a clean chit from the Regional Censor Board. The film has passed the censor test by bagging clean 'U' certificate. But the release date has not been confirmed yet.
The news of Kochadaiiyaan being censored has been officially revealed by Rajinikanth's manager on Twitter. "Kochadaiiyaan has been censored with U-certificate," he posted on the social networking site. Sources say that the censor board members were happy with the product and wished the team a good luck.
On the other end, Kochadaiiyaan release date has not been confirmed yet amid reports claiming that the Tamil flick will hit the screens on April 11. The makers of the film are expected to announce the date by the end of this month.
People, who are closely observing the development, believe that Kochadaiiyaan would have got released on April 11 if the Lok Sabha elections were not around the same time. This factor has made them think twice on the release date. An official word about the release could be out by March last week.
Kochadaiiyaan is a 3D motion capture computer-animated film made with the budget of Rs 125 crores. Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone are in the lead roles with Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar, Shobana, Aadhi, Nassar and others in the supporting cast. It is produced by Eros International and directed by Soundarya Ashwin.
