Vijay's looks and mass are at a different level now

Cinematographer Madhi is among the leading technicians in the country and he has worked in around 20 films, which includes a few Telugu films and a Hindi film as well.

Last year was particularly special for Madhi as 3 of his films (Mirchi, Pandiya Nadu and Endrendrum Punnagai) struck gold at the box office.

In his early days, Madhi had assisted senior cameraman Saravanan in some films before commencing on his own in 2002. His experience as an associate includes a few Vijay films such as Poove Unakkaga as well. In a recent interview, Madhi gave some interesting insights about Vijay.

"Vijay is perfect when it comes to time. During my assistant days itself, I used to hear tales about his punctuality and professionalism. A few years back, I was involved in a 1-day test shoot for Velayudham and he had not changed one bit. He had no attitude, no starry airs and was cool and casual. But his looks, screen presence and mass following have gone to an altogether different level"
