Actor Nivin Pauly, who is riding high on the success of his recent releases Om Shanti Oshana and 1983, has been roped into play the lead role in director Rajesh Pillai's forthcoming movie Mili.
The young star, who has earlier made a guest appearance in the latter's path-breaking movie Traffic, will romance actress Amala Paul in the movie, which is currently being shot in Thiruvananthapuram.
Mili is said to be a female-centric film, which revolves around the story of a woman, who is very strong and independent by nature. Like Traffic, this movie will also convey a message at the end and Mahesh Narayanan, who has earlier worked as editor for films like Beautiful, Traffic, Mumbai Police and Visudhan, is turning scriptwriter with this film.
For the first time, Nivin Pauly will be sharing screen space with Amala Paul, who is playing the female protagonist in the movie Mili, which is touted to be a soft feel good film.
