Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor's upcoming movie Khoobsurat has been declared to release on September 19.
The film Khoobsurat which happens to be a remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's yesteryear movie of the same name, will feature Sonam Kapoor in the role played by legendary Rekha in the first version.
"Disney India's Khoobsurat, a wholesome family entertainer produced in association with Anil Kapoor Film Company, will release on September 19," Disney India announced through a statement.
In the movie Khoobsurat, Sonam Kapoor will be seen playing the part of vibrant Mili which was previously very well portrayed by Rekha in the original version which also had actors like Rakesh Roshan, Dina Pathak and Ashok Kumar.
Rekha received all round applause for her performance in the first version of Khoobsurat (1980) and now it will be interesting to watch Sonam essaying the same role and whether she gets it done well enough or not.
Apart from Sonam in the lead role, the upcoming movie Khoobsurat directed by Shashanka Ghosh will have Fawad Khan, Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah and Amir Raza Hussain.
