  • National Award Winner P Sheshadri Upset HD Kumarasamy

Kannada's ace producer turned politician HD Kumaraswamy is upset with National Award winning Sandalwood's filmmaker P Sheshadri and his recent offering December 1. The ex-chief minister has expressed his unhappiness for showing his famous village stay program (grama vastavya) in the negative way in December 1, which won the National Award.

December 1 deals with the story of a chief-minister staying in the house of HIV affected couple in a village. The movie shows the couple getting alienated from society, as their AIDS status will become a big news in the village after Chief Minister's visit to their home. It is reported that Kumaraswamy was also staying in HIV affected couples hut during his term as Chief Minister in 2007.

Criticising the National Award winning movie and filmmaker, HD Kumaraswamy said, "Few people will only make movie for the sake of awards. P Sheshadri's direction in the film is far away from the truth. I will challenge him to prove my village stay has caused the problem to anyone. Then I would visit the same village again and help the affected people." He also added that he will taking legal action against Sheshadri for portraying village stay program in a wrong way.
