It's time for the Kannada audience to buck up for Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kiccha Sudeep's directorial venture Maanikya. The movie slated for Ugadi Festival release is finally hitting silver screen on May 1, 2014, May Day, which is said to be the nice treat for the long weekend. By releasing the movie on Thursday, Kiccha Sudeep has also joined the list of Kannada's superstars, whose movie will be a feast for long weekends.
Maanikya is the first combination of Kiccha Sudeep and Sandalwood's ace actor Crazy Star Ravichandran. As per the earlier reports said the duo will not be seen as brothers, but they will be playing father-son in the movie, which is the remake of Telugu hit Mirchi. Apart from Sudeep and Ravi, the film also has Ramya Krishna, Ranya, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sadhu Kokila, Shobraj, Ravishankar and others in the significant roles.
Maanikya is the biggest family entertainer movie in Kannada, which includes the biggest star cast in the supporting roles, after Challenging Star Darshan starrer Brindavana. The plot of Maanikya mainly deals with the rivalry between the two families of a village, where Sudeep belongs to one of that family.
