Padma Bhushan Kamal Haasan has always made clear that he is not interested in politics and has always expressed his ignorance in this field. But at the same time, the actor doesn't shy away from wishing some of his friends well, in politics irrespective of the party or the state. Theekathir, the official daily of the Communist Party had mentioned that Kamal Haasan has sent his wishes to M A Baby, a CPM candidate from Kollam. It is also known that Baby is a good friend of Kamal Haasan.
As per the press release from Theekadhir that shares Kamal’s words, “Friendship is the only caste that Baby knows and I am so proud to say that I am Baby’s friend. His knowledge on culture, fine arts and cinema is vast. Baby is someone who brings pride to human relationships and humanity and it is extremely important that a person like Baby wins the election”.
Meanwhile there are also reports that Kamal has extended his support to LDF candidate A N Shamsheer who is contesting in Vadacara (Kerala) through an email as the candidate had expressed his support to Kamal when the latter was going through Vishwaroopam controversy.
