  • In US Nara Rohit's Prathinidhi Hits Box Office

Nara Rohit's latest Telugu movie Prathinidhi has received decent response and done good collection at the USA Box Office in the first weekend. The debutant Prashanth Mandava-directed political thriller has beaten ace filmmaker Subhash Ghai's new Bollywood release Kaanchi: The Unbreakable and landed in the fourth spot, while last week's release 2 States topped the business chart in the country.

Prathinidhi, which was the only new release in America this Friday, graced a limited number of screens across the country on April 25 and garnered good response. The movie showed decent growth on Saturday and Sunday. The Nara Rohith and Shubra Aiyappa starrer has collected Rs 9.08 lakhs ($ 15,010) from 9 screens at the USA Box Office in the first weekend.

The amount that Prathinidhi has raked in at the USA Box Office in three days is very low, but considering its volume of release in the country, trade experts in Tollywood describes its first weekend performances as 'decent'.

Whereas, Kaanchi: The Unbreakable is one of the most hyped Bollywood movies of 2014 and it was released in 28 screens in the country. Subhash Ghai's latest directorial venture starring Mishti and Kartik Tiwari in the leads, has collected Rs 8.89 lakhs ($14,694) from 28 screens at the USA Box Office in the first weekend.
