  • Imran Khan Bats for Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan

Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan may have come under criticism from a section of netizens over the quality of the animation works in the film but Bollywood actor Imran Khan has something other to say. According to him, the Tamil flick will encourage many filmmakers to make animation films in large numbers in India.

The Tamil flick is a 3D motion-capture animation movie. Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer Kochadaiiyaan has been made with the budget of Rs 125 crores. But a section of audience drew comparision with Hollywood films and criticised the Kollywood flick.

However, Imran Khan says, "The fact that a star as big as Rajini sir has taken part in this (animation) process is obviously a big step forward. That is the kind of thing that will encourage other people also. If he can do it, we can also do it,

" Imran Khan believes that the craze around animation films in India will grow at a good rate in the next ten years. "If you look back, 10 years ago even in Hollywood it wasn't a big thing. In the last 10 to 12 years, it has started growing in Hollywood and became part of the mainstream, so we have to give it a little bit of time."

The Bollywood actor, who gave voice-over for animation film Rio, concludes, "Talent is there in India. Most Hollywood films' graphics are being done in India. I am talking about films like Batman and Superman that has happened in Mumbai. So, the talent is here, but the budgets are not there,"
