Ilayathalapathy Vijay today maybe one of the biggest Mass heros of Kollywood, But during his early days the Pokiri of Kollywood actually wanted to play classy and romantic roles.
It was actually the streak of mass hits with Thirumalai, Ghilli and Thirupachi, Vijay transformed himself to an total out and out mass hero.
In a recent interview Director Perarasu who has directed Vijay twice in Thirupachi and Sivakasi revealed that Vijay did not like self-praising songs and exaggerated punch dialogues in the film. The director went on add that Vijay was actually very reluctant to dance for Nee Entha Ooru as he felt the lyrics were over-exaggerated but somehow convinced him to do the song. The director concluded saying when Top Mass heroes like Vijay are reluctant in doing mass build up songs the newcomers should definitely learn from them and stop doing such stuff right from the start of their career.
