Ajith - Gautham Menon's 'Thala 55' formally kicked off today

The much hyped Ajith - Gautham Menon film, 'Thala 55', has formally kicked off today, the 9th April, with a pooja ceremony which happened at the Sri Viswaroopa Shirdi Saibaba Temple in Valasaravakkam, Chennai adjacent to producer A.M.Ratnam's office.

The producer is a very big Saibaba devotee and even his previous Ajith project, Arrambam, was formally commenced at the very same temple in the presence of the Arrambam team.

Gautham Menon, A.M.Ratnam, Jothikrishna and Ajith's manager Suresh Chandra were at the temple participating in the 'pooja' while Ajith wasn't present. Reports from Ajith fans in the social media space suggest that a huge crowd was seen in the vicinity of the temple due to the excitement surrounding Ajith and the film.

Official details about the film's cast, crew and title are eagerly awaited by the industry and fans. The shoots will begin on the 11th of April and we will be back with more updates about the team and their shooting plans.
