  • The deal that the makers of Maan Karate, Naan Sigappu Manithan and Tenaliraman has made

The two important factors that are vital in deciding the fate of a movie are the opening weekend collections and the number of days it sustains. 25 days at the box office in today’s scenario is a huge deal. To enjoy a good opening for their films, the makers of Maan Karate, Naan Sigappu Manithan and Tenaliraman have come to a deal.

While Escape Artists Motion Pictures’ Maan Karate will release on the 4th of April (along with Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavanigalum) , UTV Motion Picture’s Naan Sigappu Manithan and AGS Entertainment’s Tenali Raman will release on the 11th and 18th of April respectively.

Disclosing their agreement in his social blogger, Dhananjayan Govind, South Head, Disney-UTV Motion Pictures, posted, “Archana Kalpathi (CEO, AGS Cinemas), Thanks so much for agreeing for 18th April as the release date for Tenaliraman. It is good for the box office. Great! Thanks to Madan sir (Head of Escape Artists Motion Pictures) & Archana Kalpathi...we three of us will come in separate weeks. No clash at the box office.”

In response, Archana Kalpathi tweeted, “Dhananjayan, Credit goes to you for opening dialogue. Hope this sets a trend among production houses. Then all movies will get a good opening.”
