Tamil Nadu CM congratulates Chokkalingam for his digitizing efforts of Aayirathil Oruvan

The late M G Ramachandran’s Aayirathil Oruvan has been digitized and the restored version will hit theatres on 14th March 2014. The efforts to digitize have been taken up by Divya Films Chokkalingam and the same has been appreciated by none other than the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalitha.

In a letter to Chokkalingam, CM congratulates and appreciates his efforts and wishes that his endeavors continue. She says that the film was a milestone in the late MGR’s career and the stories of liberation of the oppressed classes are universal and are truly inspirational.

She also adds that the film had instilled a spirit of freedom in Tamil Nadu and expresses her happiness to have been a part of the legendary movie.
