  • Sekhar Kammula Says Salman Khan Had a Guest Role in Happy Days Remake

    Ace filmmaker Sekhar Kammula says that he is going to take a break from Tollywood to make his debut in Bollywood in 2014. He will start working on his first Hindi production after the release of his next directorial venture Anamika starring Nayantara in the lead. This movie will be a remake of his hit Telugu film Happy Days. The director says that he will collaborate with Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan for it.

    Sekhar Kammula's latest venture Anamika is slated to release in theatres on May 1 and director is busy promoting this movie, which is a Telugu and Tamil remake of Hindi film Kahaani. In an interview to a website, the director revealed his plans to remake Happy Days in Hindi. Meanwhile, he also confirmed that Salman Khan would be presenting this Bollywood remake.

    "Every time I wanted to start shooting Happy Days in Hindi, something or the other was happening in Telugu. So, I have decided to take a short break from Telugu projects and concentrate on this Hindi film. I am really happy that Salman Khan is going to present our film and I am looking forward to collaborate with him," the website quotes Sekhar Kammula as saying.

    Written, directed and produced by Sekhar Kammula, Happy Days revolves around the lives of eight friends through the four years of their engineering course. The movie explores their own set of idiosyncrasies, eccentricities, beliefs and ideals. Starring all newcomers in the cast, the movie was released on September 28, 2007 and had become the Blockbuster success at the Box Office.
