Bala's film on Karagattam will be Ilayaraja's 1000th film

Maestro Ilayaraja is presently working in director Bala’s film which is based on one of the traditional art forms of Tamil Nadu viz. Karagattam.

Sasikumar is said to be donning a totally new get up for the film and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is the lady lead.

Sources aver that there are totally 12 songs that have been scored using the various traditional instruments of Tamil Nadu villages that would bring out the apt feel.

Meanwhile there is one more interesting aspect of this Bala’s film which is emerging. It has been said that this flick of Bala will be Ilayaraja’s 1000th film. This is a feat that is huge in its magnitude and sure is a pride for every music lover. According to sources there are plans to announce about this gargantuan feat at the time of music release of the film and celebrations thereafter.
