Jigarthanda is one of the most expected movies this year. It’s the second directorial of Karthik Subbaraj, whose debut movie - Pizza is one of the cult successes of Tamil Cinema.It was earlier reported that the movie will be released by the end of this month, sometime after Kochadaiiyaan. However, as Kochadaiiyaan's release was postponed, Jigarthanda’s release was delayed. According to sources, as this is the season of IPL, Jigarthanda will release only after the cricket tournament.
Starring Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon, Jigarthanda is being marketed as a musical gangster story. The film is expected to have spectacular technical values with Santhosh Narayanan's background score, the stunning sound design and Gavemic U Ary's ground-breaking work on the camera.
